Meet The Partners…

In July 2014, a partnership was formed between Peter, Michael Grogan, and Sam Wright, who were long-term members of the team prior to becoming partners.
Michael and Sam share the same passion for empowering business owners and are immensely proud to carry on the values and mission of the practice.

Originally from Sydney, Peter started his business in 1985. Prior to this Peter was the Group CFO and Company Secretary for the international shipping group Wilh Wilhemsen. In 1988, Peter relocated to Toowoomba and expanded the client base in the Darling Downs.

As an accountant for over 38 years, Peter has been the driving force behind the business as it has continued to develop and adapt to clients needs. He places a high value on having a great team culture. With a Bachelor of Arts (Economics and History) and a Master of Commerce (Accounting), Peter is a Certified Practising Accountant and Registered Tax Agent. Peter is a Gazelles Internationally trained coach. Member of AICD. Peter also serves on a business-mentoring panel for Queensland State Development.

Peter is married to Vivienne and has seven children and three and half grandchildren. Peter loves to ride his mountain bike on the dirt tracks north of Toowoomba. He and Vivienne love going to West End and enjoying riding around the river, the cafes, plays at QPAC and a visit to Bent Books. Peter is an avid reader and a cricket tragic.

Michael Grogan



Michael is a qualified accountant who works with our Strategic Business and Compliance clients. Michael started with Ambrosiussen Accountants as a scholarship student in August 2003.

He commenced full-time employment in November 2004 after completing a Bachelor of Accounting. Michael became a junior partner at Ambrosiussen Accountants in July 2014.

In his spare time Michael enjoys relaxing in the outdoors, camping in the bush, fresh water fishing and watching the cricket in the summer.

Sam is an accountant and focuses on both compliance and Business Edge strategic work. He has been a valuable member of the Ambrosiussen team since May 2007. Sam has worked his way from completing work experience at Ambrosiussen Accountants & Advisors, to now proudly being a junior partner. Working at Ambrosiussen Accountants has provided him with a very practical view of his chosen career as an Accountant.

Sam has completed the CPA program, having already completed a dual Bachelor Degree of Business and Commerce, majoring in Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource Management and graduating with distinction. At present, he is part way through a Masters of Business Administration, with a bucket list goal of completing a PhD in the field of small business. Sam is committed to the strengthening and development of small business by improving the lifestyle of clients, not just the bottom line.

Sam enjoys networking immensely and volunteering his time in community organisations like the Toowoomba Chamber of Commerce, Institute of Managers & Leaders, and at the Christmas Wonderland Lights for Toowoomba West Lions Club. On a personal level, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, and supporting the mighty Brisbane Broncos.


Samuel (Sam) Wright


Emma Wieden

Emma joined the team in June 2014 and has a total of over nine years experience working in public accounting firms.

She has completed her Bachelor of Commerce and CPA studies. Emma assists clients with their tax compliance and planning is currently working on a part-time basis to spend time at home with her young daughter.

She particularly enjoys her client interactions and being able to help make business owner’s lives easier.

Outside of work Emma spends her time with her husband, two dogs, extended family but mainly chasing after her toddler.



Tania joined the team at Ambrosiussen Accountants in March of 2016. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree majoring in Accounting and Finance at USQ Toowoomba. Following completion of her studies she returned home to Roma to work in a public accounting firm for 7 years. From there she went onto running a family earthmoving business in Condamine. In 2015 she decided to move to Toowoomba for her children’s schooling and go back into accounting where he passion is. Tania is currently also completing her CPA.

When she is not working she is spending time with her four children and husband. If there is ever a spare moment she enjoys gardening.

Jen Morris




Jen joined the Ambrosiussen Team in November 2015 as part of the Administration Team.

She completed her Cert IV in Business Administration/Finance in December 2016. Jen is originally from Canada and moved to Australia in 2012 with her husband Chad, and her two sons Ryden and Damon.



Susie is part of our Administrative Team originally employed as our trainee Receptionist in 2004. She has completed her Certificate 3 in Business Administration and is currently completing Certificate IV in Bookkeeping. Susie has experience with a vast array of the practice operations.

Susie welcomed her first son in April 2011 and relocated to Pittsworth at which point prompted a career opportunity and left the team. During her absence, her family grew by one more when her second son was born. Susie then returned to Ambrosiussen Accountants on a part-time basis in January 2014. Her family continued to grow when daughter Maddison arrived September 2015. Susie continues to work on a part-time basis 3 days per week.

When not working both Susie & husband Greg enjoy spending short getaways with their energetic children and outings to the races.
