Peter Ambrosiussen

Originally born and bred in Sydney, Peter Ambrosiussen started his business in 1985. In 1988, Peter relocated to Toowoomba and commenced operations as Peter W Ambrosiussen Pty Ltd.

As an accountant for over 32 years, Peter has been the driving force behind the business as it has continued to develop and diversify.

With a Bachelor of Arts (Economics) and a Master of Commerce (Accounting), Peter is a Certified Practising Accountant and Registered Tax Agent.  Peter is an accredited Gazelles Coach, the first for regional Australia.

Peter is currently the Treasurer of TASC, a not for profit organisation providing legal and advocacy help for people with disabilities. Peter also serves on a business-mentoring panel for Queensland State Development.

Peter has seven children and two young grandchildren. He is also passionate about cricket – in particular – Australia thrashing the Poms!

Julie Payne

Julie joined the team in February 2008 and is our General Manager. Julie is a qualified CPA and has over 14 years experience in both commercial and public practice accounting.

Julie’s interests have developed in the management, human resources and marketing areas for both Ambrosiussen Accountants and our clients.

Julie is currently Chairperson of the Board of Holy Name Primary School Board and Finance Committee member. Julie’s spare time is shared with her two sons and husband.

Michael Grogan

Michael is a qualified accountant who works with our Strategic Business and Compliance clients. Michael started with Ambrosiussen Accountants as a scholarship student in August 2003. He commenced full-time employment in November 2004 after completing a Bachelor of Accounting. Michael is currently finalising requirements to attain his CPA certification.

Michael moved with his family from the Sunshine Coast to Toowoomba in 2002 to study at USQ and now resides at Murphy’s Creek.

In his spare time Michael enjoys relaxing in the outdoors, camping in the bush, fresh water fishing and watching the cricket in the summer.

Craig Dawson

Craig is our Tax Senior and Superannuation specialist. Craig holds a Bachelor of Commerce and has been with the Ambrosiussen team since 2006 after participating in our scholarship program. He is currently finalising requirements to attain his CPA certification.

Craig is committed to the development of successful small and medium enterprises. A firm believer that healthy and prosperous businesses are essential for the wellbeing of the broader community, Craig enjoys working alongside small business owners to see them grow financially.

On a personal level, Craig enjoys spending time with his wife, son and daughter, reading good books, watching classic movies and being involved with his local church.

Samuel (Sam) Wright

Sam started working flexible hours at Ambrosiussen Accountants in May 2007. Sam has completed a dual Bachelor Degree of Business and Commerce, majoring in Accounting, Finance, and Human Resource Management.  He has commenced his CPA Program studies in 2011.

Sam’s current position is Accountant and assists all team members with Strategic Business and Compliance work. Working at Ambrosiussen Accountants has provided him with a very practical view of his chosen career as an Accountant.

Sam has a strong interest in politics, and has even appeared on 60 Minutes in August 2010 while being interviewed by Mark Latham.

Toni Skillington

Toni has commenced work in August 2010 as Assistant Accountant. Toni provides assistance to Craig in the Compliance and Superannuation area, as well as other accountants as required.

Toni has completed Bachelor of Business majoring in Professional Accounting in 1991. She has over 19 years experience in the banking sector, financial analysis, accounting and administration and is planning on commencing her CPA studies in the next two years. Toni works flexible hours and enjoys sharing her time with her two young sons, husband and friends.

Kate Harley

Kate commenced with Ambrosiussen Accountants in 2009 as Receptionist after completing Year 12 at Centenary Heights State High School.

She has been promoted to the role of Administration/Finance Officer and is currently studying towards her Certificate IV in Business Administration.

We sponsored Kate as an entrant in the 2010 Toowoomba Carnival of Flowers Young Ambassador Program and she was voted Miss Congeniality. Kate enjoyed the program and used the opportunity for personal and professional development. She has continued her commitment to the Toowoomba Hospice (2010 Fund raising beneficiary) as a volunteer.

Kate enjoys going out with friends and visiting family and friends in Brisbane.  

Lisa Groves

Lisa joined Ambrosiussen Accountants in October 2011 as an Assistant Accountant and has experience in several accountancy practices in the region.  Lisa has a strong interest in the accounting field and is currently studying her Masters in Professional Accounting. 

Lisa enjoys spending time with her husband and two daughters.

Linzi Burke

Linzi is currently studying her Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) at USQ. 

Linzi’s role in our team is that of Undergraduate Accountant and assists in the areas of financial statements and taxation returns. 

 

Alistair Green

Alistair has been a member of our team since early 2010 and is our Manager – Gazelles and Human Resources.

Alistair has had more than 7 years experience in senior operational management roles providing leadership to managers and staff, contributing to strategic direction and delivering service to both internal and external clients.

Alistair completed an Advanced Diploma of Business Management (HR) in 2009. He continues to study and formalise his practical skills planning to commence an MBA in 2012. Alistair is currently undergoing Accreditation for Gazelles coaching.

Savannah Jones

Savannah joined Ambrosiussen Accountants towards the end of 2011.  

Savannah relocated from Brisbane to join our team and is a key member of our Support Team.  Savannah will be your first point of contact with Ambrosiussen Accountants. 

Savannah lives with her family in Gatton and is looking at commencing University studies in 2012.

Amanda Hibberd

Amanda has commenced working with Ambrosiussen Accountants in 2010 and assists the Practice and our clients in the public relations and marketing areas.

Amanda is formally qualified with a combined Arts degree majoring in Public Relations and Communications and a Business degree majoring in Marketing.

Amanda has worked within the public relations and sales industries for the past ten years specialising in the tourism, events and retail sectors.

Prior to becoming a freelancer in 2008, Amanda worked as an events producer with j2 ideas & events, one of Queensland’s premier event management companies.
